Dogs do, in fact, dream. Many people observe their dogs twitching, moving their legs or making noises while sleeping and this is typically because they are dreaming. In fact, though dogs tend to dream for shorter periods of time than people, they tend to do so with more action. You can see dogs making chewing motions, licking or moving their lips and whiskers while dreaming, moving their feet and legs like they're running, and even making yipping noises.

Dogs have REM sleep just like we do. It's necessary for them, especially when young, to help the mind function/develop. How the dog actually interprets things is anyone's guess. But they aren't "chasing" anything. It's just reflexes as parts of the brain are being stimulated.

Dogs and cats.
You can tell from their movements and sounds made during their sleep. Or you could argue that they just move their legs, tails, and make sounds but they are not dreams. But why bother?

Yep. They bark and move all the time at night. They dream of chasing birds, squirrells,etc.

ya!!! they move their legs n sometimes they jump as it they hav seen a nightmare ..........
all leavin beings hav feelin which allows them to dream....
so it is conferm that dogs do dream........
dogs are the best pal who will stick to u through out its life...
