I am descended from several different European royal lines and can count Prince John (of Robin Hood fame) and Robert the Bruce and many others as ancestors. I found this information on the Mormon website - www.familysearch.org - it's free but there are a lot of dead ends and you have to start with a deceased ancestor to get any sort of pedigree. I really enjoy this website and am looking forward to find out more about my ancestry.

Cornel Ellsworth, the first true casualty of the Civil War was a close friend of Lincoln's. He's a relative on my Mother's side.
I have an in-law, Johnny Lee (who sang "Looking for love in all the wrong places") who was married to Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing) of "Dallas".
I grew up near Fort Cumberland, where "General" Washington (before he was President) stayed and right beside the route that General Braddock took to Fort Necessity.
I live now close to the birthplace of gymnist Mary Lou Retton. I ran into Vincent Price a number of times while he was speaking at my college and I drove alongside of the Presidential Limo carrying Charles and Diana when the came to visit in DC in the late 80's.
I sent stories to Stephen King and got a semi-rude letter back from his secretary.
I'd be fighting off the paparazzi,,,if I could persuade them to come stand outside my house!!!!
