sweetheart, that sounds like a truly scary place to be. i know as i am bi-polar. the suicidal periods and feelings are the most frightening. please go to a psychiatrist and get some information. they are treating it these days with much lower doses and lighter meds so you wont feel zonked out or switched off. it is awful to have to go thru that and under no circumstances is it your fault or even under your control. you need help honey. do yourself a great service. it really makes such a difference. a hug to you today

It may or may not be bipolar disorder that you have. You need to see a psychiatrist for diagnosis. You may also have (instead) Post Traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) if you have been abused in some way, chronic, recurrent depression, or borderline personality disorder or something else I didn't think of. Any one of those is a really big deal, a life threatening illness (obvious, if you are suicidal) , and don't listen to people on here telling you not to take meds for these serious conditions. That's like advising you not to take meds for diabetes or heart disease. A general medical doctor will not know how to figure out what's wrong, you really need to go to a psychiatrist. I can't understand how you could have tried to kill yourself 7 times and not had a stay in a mental hospital where they would diagnose you. Your parents should make sure that you get care.
Try bipolarworld.net and read dr. phelp's stuff. Good luck!! It hurts so much to be depressed, I hope you can get some good care.

Probably. Or just manic-depressive. Go to a shrink or therapy. I'm bi-polar, and I didn't know until I failed at suicide. The cops found me, I was on the highway at night waiting for a car to come and take me out of the pointless world. They brought me home and told me that if I don't self check into the mental hospital in two days they were going to do it for me. Anyway if you do decide to go, treat the doctors like friends that can help you, b/c they will. They're not trying to hurt you.

A doctor is the Almighty God who declares if it is normal or bipolar so he can medicate you. Although 2 doctors can disagree. The fact is that you are not happy.
Try a doctor but don't let him drug you. See page below about overcoming it naturally. That means even if you do not have it, these methods are still healthy. You want more mental health. There is a scientific way to identify AIDS in your body but with bipolar, someone decides if it is bad enough to be bipolar.
But if someone gets a million dollar lottery, he gets happy and he loses his best friend he gets sad. See on site below TEEN ADVICE and Rx FOR HAPPINESS.

Very personal situation to address. All I can say is what helps me. When I start getting into a funk I get more productive. For me my moral is directly related to how productive I am in life and the more pro survival the activity (like with me its getting kids of drugs) the higher my moral. Gives me a purpose for being here and a "game" to play. Each positive effect I create on others makes me feel more valuable, better about myself and less introverted. I also make sure I always do the basic body things that makes me less susceptible to getting blue, sleep, diet and vitamins. (B1, calcium magnesium etc...are great for emotions.)
Keep your chin up, dont forget all of your plus points and make sure and make your own decisions in deciding what handling you choose for this situation.
My thoughts are with you

Look like it is! A serious one too if it involves hurting others or harming your own self....See a shrink please or you'll suffer more.
