For your Anti-Adware and Anti-Spyware needs...............
Pick and choose at least 2 anti-spywares from the list below and alternate scanning with them on a regular basis. New spywares are created literally hourly, so no single anti-spyware can really detect all malware. Have at least 2 on hand and alternate scanning with each every few days or so. All are free. All can remove as well as detect.

you need at least 2 anti-spyware programs
Try Lavasoft adaware, windows defender, superantispyware, spybot, spywareguard
also try firefox instead of IE and log into windows as a limited user when using the internet

I preferred to you first is spybot search&destroy is one of the
best anti-spyware software.it is available totally free.then additional tools is also free & updates also free.But this size is
upto 6MB. it is download from the
www.safer-networking.org
then, i recommended you to use ad-aware personal edition
from the www.lavasoft.com
it's size is upto 4 to 5MB ,then freely available and free updates
then i recommended you to use hijackthis from
www.merijn.org
it's size is upto 300 KB,then it comes freely.

the yahoo toolbar comes with norton antispy--that is nearly the best one, the others you have to pay for.
avg is good, if you are looking for a full free virus program
& ad aware is good as well, but that is for mainly to detect where the popups are-not anti spy

I have used AVAST and AVG and both a good. I personally lean towards AVG, you can get the free version @ www.grisoft.com and go to home version download. Thanks
