No. If you had done any looking into it you would not be asking this question. There is more to read of Catholic writings than you can read in your entire life time.
Why don't you go the the Vatican's website and then answer your own question?
Try educating yourself by reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Church history, writings of the early Church fathers, and some papal encyclicals.

There is nothing in the Vatican archives that is at odds with what the church has consistently taught and practiced, for the last 2000 years.

I bet the biggest thing that would freak people out would be the misuse of power that could be found in the history books in the Vatican. But that is just because people don't understand that they were people too.

Absolutely. I'm a Catholic, and I still think that there is some stuff that the Vatican doesn't want us to know. I guess I'm paranoid because I have the same problem with the goverment.

A friend of mine swears she saw the remains of the library of Alexandria in the catacombs of the vatican. This was some 70 years ago. She is someone who would see something like that and understand what it was.

If you're watching the Da Vinci Code, you gotta stop. The Vatican does not do this.

I like to think that all religions do. Nothing that would be faith shaking, just very curious and interesting. I like the thought of something that smashes the male/female barrier of the more patriarchal organizations.
