Commissioned Officers in the National Service Corp or US Public Health Service wear similar uniforms and have similar ranks as the Navy, and is one of the seven uniformed services of the USA. Most veterans or other military officers call them the 'fake' military since they are not regular military, although they have ribbons, ranks and other accoutrements of the military. One noticeable difference is the color of the name tag.
