He is stalling. He must keep it together for another 2 years. Then he can say the next guy let it fall apart.
That's it, plain and simple.
He says he takes full responsibility, but don't believe him. How easy is it to shrug your shoulders and say, "gee, I'm sorry. It's my fault that thousands of our soldiers died." After that he gets to sleep with his wife and get on with his life.
Sadly, too many americans are that forgiving. I am not.

He was admitting to mistakes in the tactics in Iraq; he was not admitting the war itself was a mistake. The mistakes were not analyzing the situation earlier and doing what needed to be done a long time ago. If we pull out we leave Iraq in utter chaos and every thing will come undone. There has been some progress there, and they need help to protect that and to get rid of the constant violence there. If we leave, America will still be hated just then we would be known for destroying a country and leaving it to fix our mess.

The Arab international places are making plans now, so as that they could have extra then merely Palestinians struggling with now. the single ingredient that the Arabs are enjoying is international interest on the occupation of Palestinians people. What particularly sickens me is that the media does not provide any suggestions and it has no longer particularly for the 60 years of the occupation. it rather is going to purely provide the Israelis side of the story, leaving out the main factors of what particularly led to the priority in the 1st place. quickly Israels purely pal is the U. S., yet after all the money that the U. S. spends on Gaza being rebuilt gets harm returned. At this factor no counties are allowed in Gaza with out Israeli approval. Why might Israel want different counties gaining know-how of the circumstances there? Any reporter or humanitarian worker that is going into Gaza will look down on the Zionist government plenty that they might commit something of their existence in speaking out for Gaza. that's a none certainty that any reporter that is going into Gaza is unhurt by potential of the Palestinians, yet each and every so often they get arrested or killed by potential of Israeli infantrymen. this is a certainty purely for individuals that are uncovered to the certainty of the subject. while you're caught on merely one form of media, then you particularly must be brainwashed by potential of them. Israel does not want this, this is why no journalists are aloud in. aside from those reporter that are Zionist.

More troops means more blood shed. Resistance forces in Iraq aim is to free their country from foriegn occupation. More US troops means resistance will become stronger and result in more US casuality. So the it is better for all that the troops are returned back as soon as possible.

I would say he does not have any concern for lifes, whether Iraqis or US soldiers. He always admits mistakes and also takes action, at the same time telling, we expect more US casualties. Ask him what he want to achieve now in Iraq ? Now that saddam is gone, there is WMD, what do we want there ?

The United States was not built in a day and neither will be Iraq. If we pull out now we would be leaving a mess that we would have to pay for all over again down the road and the toll would be much much worse.

i would go to fox news and read the speech. it would help you understand why. i was against it too..but now i see the reasoning..yes he admits mistakes, but now w ants to fix it...so that later down the road we are not fighting another saddam and his followers...if he help them now and give it all we have..it will take less work later to keep it calm there..
one thing that does bother me is how tey outline when and where soldiers will be sent..that's like giving the insurgents a head start to either gather more or leave the area..but hey..they don't tell us everytihng so who knows

no...i don't think it is time...i support his decision...its funny...bush said "if there were any mistake that had been made, i take responsibility" its like to me a guy who is trying to take all the hate from people like you and focus it more on himself than to take it out on the troops...like liberals did during Vietnam...

Sure, let the terrorists take over Iraq. That'll make us all safe. And while we're at it, we'll all elect you president....
