Well, some people form Newfoundland and Novascotia have a bit off an accent. Their accents sort of sound a bit irish in those areas. In quebec, people have french accents but they talk very fast and have sort of a pointy tone.

In the rest of canada, we don't sound very different from other english speaking countries(like the US) but I think canadians speak clearer and more smoothly. We really don't sound weird darling!!!!!!

I would actually describe the Canadian accent as the absence of accent. There are some regional dialects in the maritimes but the "Canadian" accent or way of speaking generally encompasses all of the rest of the country outside the Maritimes and most words are generally pronouced the way dictionaries say they should be pronounced.

Assuming your question relates to English only, then it can certainly be said that a great many Canadians speak with a French accent, of course.

Here is an example of what is called "Canadian Raising" these are actual audio files... http://www.yorku.ca/twainweb/troberts/raising.html

Its also interesting to check out some of the slang and other words we use more often than others.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_Canadian_English_words

More Canadian english.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_English

Now I will attempt to portray a Canadian "accent" in writing, using slang from Northern Ontario... (seriously this is how people talk around where I live and this is a typical weekend conversation)

"Eh man, wur headin' out to the camp for a bush party... so quit fuuckin the dog and go pick up a two-four, a sixty of weisers, and a twixer of tequila... grab some mix and bug dope at winkies on the way out cause we might go risk roading later... and
dont forget to pick up the boys from the Rez, eh... buddy owes me a fiver and said he's got some shrooms. Oh yeah, grab some papes too wur almost out... and whatever you do dont even think about bringin that dirty ripper with ya. Now hurry the fuuck up, biotch and get yur a*ss out here..

PS If you want a translation just ask..LOL

The best way to hear a canadian accent would be to watch a Canadian movie like "Strange Brew". I think you could hear those accents even if you are Canadian, eh.

Since when do Canadians have accents? Just one of the many untrue Canadian stereotypes americans bestow upon us. We sound just like americans, we are almost like americans. Sheesh, it's as if America thinks Canadians are a different species that says "eh" as a form of communicaiton and only eat syrup. There are accents unless you're talking about like a jamaican-canadian or something

There is many accents in Canada, depends on what part you are from. I do not know where you are from., but if it is the US, it is the same as it is there, depends on where you are from. I wouldn't really call it an accent I guess it is a different dialect. Of course people who speak a different language would have a different accent.

Here are some Canadians you would have heard:

John Roberts (CNN)
Stone Phillips (NBC)
Jim Carrey (Lemony Snicket & The Grinch)
Mike Myers (Austin Powers & Wayne)
Matthew Perry (Friends)
Jason Priestly (90210)
Keanu Reeves (Matrix)
William Shatner (Cpt. Kirk)
Keifer Sutherland (24)
Pam Anderson (ex to Kid Rock & Tommy Lee)

Just to name a few - that's what a Canadian accent sounds like.

In the maritimes the accent is a subtle brogue like a soft-sibilant scotch, or irish, accent with some regional dialect words used and a decent amount of eh's tossed on the end of the sentences.

I dont think I have an accent, but most americans i've met do, they keep telling me i say a boot, but im pretty sur im saying a boat, and they also think aboot is about, they should listen to the moron they put in the white house I love the bush word turists, I dont know if he's talking about a bunch of pissed off muslims, or if he's talking about the canadians coming over from sarnia, and then sneaking fire crackers back into canada, plus canadian budwieser is not made by Anhauser - Busch, It's made by Labatt's yet the rest of labatt's beer sucks, canadians never had prohibition, and our driking age is 19, not 21, but most of us start drinking at 14, and most of the cops don't care unless it means more work for them, plus when it comes to drinking we see americans as light drinkers a 58 litre keg will last three guys about 4 hours, then if we can't find more beer we drink whatever liquor we can find, the best liquor to drink straight is Captain Morgans spiced rum
