Maybe your used to falling asleep at that certain time but just try not thinking about it to much in order for your mind to relax and easily fall asleep. Have you tried reading before you fall asleep? It works with me.

You are going to need to try to go to sleep earlier, take a hot shower or bath (heat elevates the body temp to signal sleep)....avoid Caffiene past 4 pm, don't watch tv ...wind yourself down like reading a few chapters in a non-horror book. Don't be on the Internet right before bed - it stimilates your mind too much. You might try an over the counter (melatonin) which your body naturally produces to sleep - 1-2 tablets up to 3 mgs (bottle) about 1 hr before bed. It will take some time to readjust your body to a normal sleep pattern. Right now it's used to staying up til 5 -and then has to crash at school.
I personally sleep great during rain - so I bot a rainstorm tape...Either way you'll need to change your habits. Also be wary of SLEEP pills, as they can become habit forming and can make you groggy in the AM (or not hear the alarm) if choose to rely on them and not correcting the problem. Melotonin above, is not as strong as those aids...just kicks in the stuff you already make. If too much is on your mind....journal....don't be formal..just get it out and forget it!

Teenagers get very screwed up sleep cycles...so don't be too worried. There are some important things you can do to help though, firstly, no TV in the bedroom, secondly, make a bedtime routine, like a cup of tea, followed by some reading, and do that every night before bed, and you will train your body to get ready for sleep.

You have a condition called "Sleep Apnea." Also more commonly known as Insomnia. It is nothing too serious except that you have difficulty sleeping. It is caused by a less than healthy diet and sometimes factors out of your control, such as genetics or body chemicals and brain processes. If it is bugging you to the point of extreme discomfort - do NOT hesitate to go see a sleep clinic or doctor. They can fix your problem with an easy treatment. Sweet dreams!

I have taken Melatonin and it has helped me sleep better. Melatonin is natural supplement. Take 2-3 tablets half an hour before bedtime for relief of insomnia. If symptoms persist, please consult your doctor.
