This way is hard work but will pay off better that blind luck most of the time.
1. Find out which lottery has the fewest people entering (these are usually the ones that cost the most).
2. Learn about statistical modelling especially Bayesian statistics (named for the reverend Thomas Bayes who came up with it).
3. Most lottery systems will keep a record of their winning numbers, go through with your statistical model and predict the most likely numbers to be drawn.
4. Buy a ticket.
5. If you don't win enter the winning numbers into the model, also try predicting the number frequency (that is the amount of time between when a specific number is drawn).

First of all you need to play in a country that you don't live in. The next requirement is that you have to be rich already so you really don't need the money. Thirdly, you must not be a regular lottery player. This should be your first time playing ever. Then just buy one ticket on a whim because you happened to be waiting somewhere for something and you had nothing better to do. This method is guaranteed to work so please don't tell anyone else. I'm just telling you because we're such good friends.

Every time you want to buy a ticket stick the money in the bank instead. In years to come you can take it out and make believe you hit the lottery
