I have been having this problem with my eyes where sometimes after I take my contacts out my eyes start itching really bad and it feels like the center of my eye is swelling up but most recently I looked at my eye in my mirror and I noticed this stuff on the bottom of my eye and I pulled it and this may sound gross but it like stretched and it was like a white/clear color. I have noticed that everytime my eye swells up I have some of that stuff on it. I thought it was sleep just protecting my eye at first but then I pull it off and my eye feels instant relief. What is this stuff that it on my eye? I think that it is so sick and I really want to find a solution to this problem so it will stop happening. So please, if you know what is going on help! Thanks.

you may have got your eye infected. your eye contacts may not be clean. or you had an allergic reaction to the contacts. go to your eye docter is the problem resists. put plenty of eye drops in your eyes and clean them everyday to prevent this. my mother got her eye infected just the other day so maybe its just something to do with the weather or the air thats affecting this. not sure but i hope that i helped

i also have a bad eye problem and i get itchy eyes and they burn alot. so i may be in need for contacts too.

Go to the emergency room immediately!!! You really don't want to mess with your vision!!! I'm not a doctor but the stuff you mentioned sounds like conjunctivitis. I don't know about the swelling though. Nevertheless, stop using your contacts until your condition has cleared up and go to the ER NOW!!! Eyes are very sensitive; a few years ago all of a sudden the vision in one of my eyes went blurry and it turned out to be Iritis. I had it treated immediately and had to take two different types of drops every few hours for over a month! Left untreated, I could have gone blind.

I get that if I've had a nasty run of migraines and havent' been in a position to get off the displays lengthy ample to recover from them correctly. that might equate to gentle sensitivity as good. Not swollen eyes although. I might recommend that you just use the correct precautions to restrict eyestrain watching on displays ( a lot approximately this on solutions). If feasible deliver your eyes a holiday from TV/pc for a few days and get them out within the recent air with somewhat of activity in which you aer best utilizing your distance imaginative and prescient however I recognise that may be awkward. If that and the brand new glasses do not repair it make an appointment with the physician. Do drink ample as good - i am a truly fan of constructing certain of this while you're on pc displays because it is helping with plenty of disorders adding complications and dry eyes. It could be very handy to dehydrate while running on a reveal . Water no longer tea and low.

It is an allergy, it is not caused by your contact but it is releasing from your eye when you take out your contact because the eyelid is now able to "work" it loose. You can actually see it around your iris, it is milky or creamy looking and is a thin film around the colored part of your eye. Your eye doctor will put some tetracycline in your eye and ta da, it's gone. You may need all new contacts though.

Are you washing your hands before you remove your contacts? Do you rinse the soap off your fingers very well? It sounds like you may be having an allergic reaction to something.

You shouldn't be "peeling" something off your eye. It would be better to use something like artificial tears to loosen the stuff and then just lightly wipe it away with a clean gauze or tissue.

Have you tried switching contact solution? It would be a good idea to call your eye doctor or optician and see what they have to say.

It sounds like a bacterial infection. Go to the optometrist to get it taken care of. In the mean time, throw away your contact lens case, solution, and the contact lenses that you are wearing as any of the above could be the source of your infection.

OOooh.... sounds like a pretty bad eye infection if you ask me. That white stuff is pus, and your eyes become itchy and irratated when you wear contacts that are either improperly cared for or old, or that maybe have calcium deposits on it. Your condition won't go away until you get antibacterial drops prescribed to you by a doctor. Go see one right away.

Do you change contacts every day or wait a while before changing them? Your eyes could be infected and you should see an optometrist who will prescribe an antibiotic ointment.Personally I don't believe you should sleep in contacts.I've worn them for 30 years. Make sure you use a good contact cleanser daily and don't wear them longer than your doctor tells you to.

best thing to do is go see your optometrist and depending what he says you might need to see a doctor.

i would suggest wearing glasses for a while as well. it sounds like you might have an infection or are having an allergic reaction to the contacts.

I used to wear contacts as well, and often got itchy eyes. Turns out I developed an intolerance to them and had to stop wearing them.

Good luck and i hope it clears up

first option is to go to a eye docter about this befroe doing what anyone else tells you to do on yahoo answers
second is to think about finding a cleaner contact solution ad contacts, also maybe having more clean of hands before handling your eyes!

but i suggest you do the first most of all!
