Head Lice?
Some things that worked for me...(being a preschool teacher)
they sell stuff called cholestrol in the conditioner aisle of drug store...or super market....it comes in a tub...
*apply this to dry hair....comb thru...leave on for 8-12 hours..then rinse out with hot water..(in shower)...and comb it while rinsing....this will usually suffocate them..as well as leave your hair a little oily....but not as bad as other remedies...
use a cat flea comb....to comb your hair...(new of course) for a fine haired cat
another idea is use cheap hair conditioner....
the saying is..if your hair is oily..lice will tend not to go on your head..since they can't hang on to oily hair strands..if you have squeaky clean hair..more likely you can get them..from someone else...and they don't jump..they crawl
they look like little lobsters/scorpions...tiny..hard to see...they tend to be the color of the persons hair that you got them from...
there are other types of lice...body lice, sea lice...there are usually bars of soap that you can use for that..i also was told rubbing alcohol by someone one time...(never had them though)...

vodka works wonders just spray all over hair and comb through with nit comb leave for 30 mins then rinse off then use conditioner and nit comb again to comb out all the eggs and the lice just using conditioner on its own will not work yes it might get rid of some eggs but if there are any crawlers it wont get rid of them

Tea tree oil, you can find it at walmart in the vitamin section fot $6, a few drops in your shampoo helps prevent them, stronger kills. Make sure you wash linens and stuff animals too. The tto can be added to the wash or even 15 drops to 1 qt for bug spray. Wash counters with it to prevent roaches

real mayonnaise (not the stuff called salad dressing)...massage it into the scalp, cover with shower cap and leave for 15-20 minutes then wash out and condition as usual
wash all bed linens anything worn at the time in as hot water as you can.....vacuum house really well and discard bag if you have one immediately afterwards
