Let me add this, I do not need your sob stories or "You can't" answers. I KNOW it is possible and would like to hear from someone who knows how to do it, not those who feel it should not be done or just want to say it can't be done b/c you are full of **** and wrong. Go waste your finger-punches on someone elses question please!

there should be a seperate grounding cable, you can hook up to your ebrake..most of the time ppl have it hooked up in line with a toggle switch/fuse..so when your driving around flip the toggle an it turns the dvd function on while driving.

To all the people bashing him for wanting to watch something while driving....get a life. Ive been driving 8yrs now, while 80% of the time using a mobile video device in my car, and 0 accidents have ever occured. just cause your uncomfortable with driving with something playin in your console doesnt mean everyone else should be like you.

I mean think about it, how many cars now a days use mobile navigation whether it be window mounted(garmin/magellan), or stock indash systems? I rest my case.

I agree with the first answer... It's built in for a reason... the last thing I need is to get rear-ended by some rich guy watching dvds in his car cuase he's paying more attention to the video than the road...

Damn did anyone ever think it's so a passenger could watch? I think a friend told me once that there is a switchleg going to your emergency brake or having the car in park. I think you have to feed one ot the two wires constant power, just a guess though?????

To reiterate, do not bypass this important safety feature. If you want to watch DVDs, pull over, or go somewhere else to watch. Do not endanger other drivers or yourself. You need to concentrate on your driving and not the DVDs. You could seriously injure or kill yourself or some other drivers if you are watching DVDs instead of the road. In addition, in some states, it is illegal to watch videos while driving. Please, be safe, be couretous and concentrate on your driving.
