I believe true love is unconditional. However, at what point does love become blind ignorance? Love can impair your ability to make rational judgements. At the same time, love can bridge the gap between assumption and reality by the way you respond to each others needs (mentally and physically). Is there really a way to guard your heart while giving your all to a relationship?

Talk to me people......

Yes I think there is a way. Just because you love somebody doesn't mean they can never be wrong. For example, a liar is a liar or a psycho is a psycho whether you love them or not . If you want to address something the other person is doing wrong you can maybe start the conversation with "I love you but.." Trust me I've been there before and I snapped out of it because I feel like sometimes the more you give a person, the more they take advantage of you. Love is sweet and cute and all of that but at some point you have to be realistic and lose the stars in your eyes.

Once you've fallen in love, that's it! Life is about trial and error, and taking risks. We can only hope that the person we love will return back the love loyalty and honesty we give them. There are no guards for the heart, except trusting your gut feeling! Hearts get broken every day, but there are also millions of wonderful people out there who help us mend them, as we learn and move on. Take a risk, life is short. Love and live forever!!

There isn't a way to guard in a relationship. A true relationship needs absolute openness. But being open doesn't mean being stupid. Keep your eyes open for the signs of negative things, but keep a positive outlook. And make sure you keep your confidence. Don't be with someone just because you don't want it to change. If there are problems, talk them out ASAP to clear the air. Leftover arguments eat away at relationships with doubt and fear.

I think you just have to be able to step back and look at the relationship clearly... obviously some people can't (or refuse to) do this.. but giving your all in a relationship means letting your guard down and actually giving it ALL... but sometimes it's a good idea to look at it the relationship with outside eyes to get a reality check.

The truth is, love is NOT a feeling...feelings are feelings, love is the choice to chose the ultimate best for someone else. When people base love on feelings, everything can go wrong.
Notice all those questions.."do I love him?" You should know if you really love someone, but if you have to ask something like that, your FEELINGS are mixed and get in the way.

you ad only you can make that distinction if you feel compromised in your decision making process because of love maybe that is not such a bad thing to allow your feelings to pick a few winners and losers,,,,that's human if it gets to where every little thing that you do is driven and controlled by your love for someone then perhaps counselling is in order but like I said it is up to you where you draw the time and it differs a great deal with everyone good luck with one of life's big time mysteries

People tend to get lost in the love of another person and you can never find him or her again or if you, you don't know them. First of all, don't get lost. Hoard all of you that is you and do your best to protect your brain from short-circuiting. You are not defined by the relationship--you are defined by you.
