Because rome stretched out to far and when something is to big it dies from within. The book of revelations seem to come true though. Its all about how rome's gonna fall down. Just they never had a battle at armagedon. Bummer would of been a wicked movie.

all the emperors have been gay ? did no longer comprehend that. I nonetheless do no longer comprehend that. besides, your implication, if i'm no longer being too formidable, is that Christianity makes for a militarily or economically (or something) susceptible u . s .. best ? And usa has been the international's maximum useful u . s . for a hundred years ? And that's a Christian u . s . ? (now, previously you get your panties in a gaggle, I say that's a Christian u . s . merely b/c maximum of it rather is voters are Christian. and because that's a democracy, the biggest form of people are meant to make the regulations. properly, the Christians did makes some regulations. and those regulations are for a mundane u . s .. So I say we owe the Christians a great around of applause for no longer banding jointly and making this the 'united states of america of Jesus'. (clap clap clap clap) thank you, Christians.

Its easier to be bad than good. Rome was almighty when they did not even give a second thought to their acts, no matter how cruel, but when they started to think, analyze, and maybe change... well, the 'badder' took control!

The Huns, mostly. Christianity was not the reason for its fall - and it did not become less cruel after becoming a part of Christendom, it merely changed who it was being cruel to.

Pagan Rome was initially an instrument of Satan, who was the prince of this world, prior to our redemption by Jesus Christ.
Jesus permitted Satan and his minions, the Romans, and the corrupt Jews, to unjustly torture him and kill him, knowing full well that it would result in their destruction.
Satan was left desolate, moments after Jesus commended his spirit to the Father.
The Jews were given a generation (40 years) to convert to Christianity, and then the rest were destroyed and scattered by the Romans, in 70 AD.
The Romans were given 10 generations to convert to Christianity, even though they continued to brutally persecute Christians for most of that time.
Once the empire was converted, and the church firmly established throughout the known world, the Roman empire was itself destroyed, but the Catholic Church remains .... "The Pillar and Ground of the Truth." (1st Timothy 3:15)
God remains firmly in charge.

when a almost fascist learder (constantine) makes the majority religion of the land illegal and punishable by death (paganism)...society in general goes down the drain
Imagine if christianity was made illegal and they were killed if found practiceing it.
Thats exactly what was done to the pagans by constantine and the church
so much for a religion of peace ehh

Rome was "built" on greed, violence, false gods, fleshly pursuits and self-love. Why would those things stand when the gospel of Jesus Christ took root? Of course it fell.
