I've personally provided products for horses that had laminitis, these products totally changed the course of the horses health. I am very fond of horses and desperately want to help Barbaro. If anyone knows how I can contact the owners/trainers I would be very grateful. Thanks, Connie in Michigan

Try contacting the vets at the clinic providing care for him at the University of Pennsylvania. Here is their web site:

I dunno what "products" that you are talking about. I had a horse who had a rather severe case of laminitis. We tried all sorts of shoes and shoeing techniques and everything. None of it worked. We eventually gave up on the whole shoeing thing all together. Our vet came out and trimmed her feet in a specific way. She would be on bute (horse tylonel) for pain. After a couple relapses (during the experimentation with shoeing), she finally got better, and was rideable again.

Sadly she colicked and was euthanized, but her feet were once again healthy before she died.

I have faith in the vets treating Barbaro that they know what they are doing. They are some of the best vets. They just need to give it time, it takes a long time for laminitis to heal. They have been doing their best. Barbaro is a fighter, and I hope that he goes on to make a full recovery and is a happy stallion.

You stand a better chance of getting the message thru if you go to: http://www.timwooleyracing.com. This guy is in contact with both Barbaro and the owners the Jackson's. He posts daily updates on Barbaro, this is FIRST hand information coming from either Barbaro's Vet at Fair Hill or Team Barbaro themselves.

There is a place to post, it is monitored so you may make a suggestion there.

I think the Vet hospital can handle it, after all it is Supposedly "where the best vet minds are". These people are spending plenty and are rest assured pulling out all the stops and getting best minds they can get.

Why did you wait so damn long? I do not believe you. If you really could, you would know how to contact the owners.
