I wear my hair tied back and have been told that it will make it break off but the job I have I can not have it down. Is there something that will help make my hair stronger so it does not break off.

I'm sure you are using a hair tie that has some sort of fabric or material wrapped around the rubber band/elastic, right? If so, you must be putting your hair up too tight. Try doing a braid instead of tying it at the same exact spot everyday.

Also, getting regular deep conditioning treatments will help your hair become stronger. But you can't just use any hair treatment from the store or just go to any salon. You need a conditioning treatment that will put the protein back in your hair. Usually when you get a "deep conditioning treatment" at a regular salon they just slap any old conditioner on your hair and put you under a dryer...you could sorta do that on your own at home. If you go to an Aveda salon they have this treatment called Purescriptions. They massage it into your hair, put you under a dryer, and you keep it in your hair over night...your hair feels like silk for days!

Just don't tie it back too tightly, and use a hairband or scrunchie that wont hurt too much and pull on hairs.

That happened to me and i used a lot of Biolage conditioner on my scalp. Also, use a leave in conditioner.
