The happiest time in my life...it's hard to say....it's always "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times" thing.

I loved the time I had when I was a teenager with my good friends.
But much of it was a very difficult time for me.
I also loved being home with my mom and dad before I went to school when I was around 4 or 5 and younger,...but then I was too young to remember much except that it was happy and peaceful. I loved my baby brother with all my heart when he was born when I was 2....
A lot of my childhood after I was about 6 was hard.

I really don't think there has been one to be honest....
I like to think the best is yet to come.

Before he got cancer & died, one sunny August morning my partner & I were canoeing on the Androscroggin River in Maine. We came to a large marshy area that sat off a bend in the river. As silently as possible we canoed into the area, watching a red-tailed hawk circle the grassy tufts and occasionally dive for a mouse.

While we sat taking in the beauty, a moose lumbered out of the woods about 30 yards away and began feeding on the submerged plant life. When she raised her head, she would eye us, but then went on back grabbing her breakfast. In about 5 minutes we heard a smallish voice from the woods. She looked over her shoulder, and her calf came tentatively out of the woods toward her. The calf joined its mother munching on the underwater plants. We were transfixed. After about 10 minutes, we decided we needed to move on, but we did so reluctantly.

That was over 10 years ago, and I still spontaneously recall that moment at least once each week.

Um....so many thoughts..I have been lucky.
I guess just a typical nameless day, say at band practice, me my life-partner and close friend, creating music, it turning out far cooler than my part alone as usual, making it up as we played, but somehow it almost always turned out perfect for that moment. I guess the day we made up my favorite of our songs.
The other would be..just those moments when I really look at/experience/breath in my favorite wild place, or family/friends together, playing a game and laughing...just being together.

College. Going to school and learning while living in the dorm with my best friends and getting it all paid for with scholarships without having to worry about real jobs or the real world was absolutely wonderful.

Its right now. It is always right now. I live in such a manner that I'm always the happiest right NOW. No looking over my shoulder to the past....I'll just trip and ruin my future that way....LOL.

When I was a child. The only thing I had to worry about was what I made on my report card and what toy i was gonna play with next.

Right now.
I am whole today. I am whole and happy and I still have more growing to do.
It all started about ten years ago when I met Jesus and gave my life to him.
