I spoke with a Jehovah Witness who told me that Jesus was the Archangel Michael. If that were true, wouldn't God have taken a very big chance sending him to earth? Afterall, that would mean Jesus would have been an Angelic Brother to Satan, also capable of turning against God, and falling from Grace wouldn't it? Would God really have taken that chance after Satan's betrayal, despite the high position he once had in heaven? It seems that God will only trust himself with such a role. I can't imagine a being or spirit with the intent of turning others against God, beins sent by God.

Ok, I'll try this again. Jehovah Witnesses claim that Jesus is the Archangel Michael. If Jesus were an angel, that would make him a brother to other Angels...including Satan. If Satan were one of the highest Angels in heaven, and he betrayed God, it would make logical sense to assume, other angels "could" do the same. Thus, my question, is why would God possibly take that chance???? Which is why I disagree with JW's that Jesus was Michael the Archangel. It just doesn't make sense. I don't know how else to explain it, so for those who still don't get what I'm saying, I don't know how else to put it. Sorry

I'm not sure I understand why people seem resentful that God expects to be in "control". People are more accepting of a human president, mayor, or other social figure being in control, but when the Creator of the universe and all that exists expects to be in control, they have a problem with it??? I just don't get it.

Jesus is, as has been stated, God. He is not a created being as the angels, and we are. The JW's theology is riddled with error. There is an angel who is named Michael. He is usually associated with war, or anything having to do with a conflict. Gabriel is the angel sent to deliver special messages. Both of these angels are referred to as "Archangels". Your conclusions are very good. I would recommend that you read the Bible so that you have a good answer for those who abuse it, such as the JW's. Pray, ask God for understanding, and believe that He will answer you. He will, and you will have the answers you desire.

ARCHANGEL

The prefix “arch,” meaning “chief” or “principal,” implies that there is only one archangel, the chief angel; in the Scriptures, “archangel” is never found in the plural. First Thessalonians 4:16, in speaking of the preeminence of the archangel and the authority of his office, does so in reference to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” It is, therefore, not without significance that the only name directly associated with the word “archangel” is Michael.—Jude 9; see MICHAEL No. 1.

WHO'S TRUMPET DID JESUS HAVE?

Thus, Paul speaks of “the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels.”—2 Thessalonians 1:7; see also Matthew 24:30, 31; 25:31.

Jehovah allowed satan to tempt his son jesus 4 times afterwards the angels came to him and ministered to him

The basic questions here is who is / was Jesus equal to?

Does Jesus have brothers?

What was the issue raised in Eden?

Was the question

Will angels (Satan) and man (Adam) remain faithful to God under all tests?

or was the question -

Will God remain faithful under all tests?

Who sinned, God or Adam and Satan?

To answer these questions let's review some facts.

God's justice is eye for eye, soul for soul.

Since the sinners are man and Satan,

God himself could not be the ransom, unless you say God is equal to man and God is equal to Satan.

If God himself was the ransom, the judgment would have been

"Soul for eye", which is unrighteous and God would never require that.

Who is Jesus equal to?

1 Cor 15: 45 It is even so written: “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

The last Adam is Jesus, Jesus is equal to Adam.

Heb 1:9 You loved righteousness, and you hated lawlessness. That is why God, your God, anointed you with [the] oil of exultation more than your partners.”

Jesus' God exulted Jesus above his partners.
Who are Jesus' partners, It can't be God because it is God that exalted him.

Heb 1:4 So he has become better than the angels, to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs.

How did Jesus become better than his partners?
He inherited a name more excellent than theirs.

Notice Jesus said his godship was equal to human judges (Compare Ps 82:6 to John 10:34 - 36)

Finally did God take a chance? Yes, because otherwise it would not have been a test.

Jesus' loyality and faithfulness would have proved nothing.

If Jesus could not have failed, the question of loyality would not have been answered.

Was Jehovah worried about Jesus failing?

No, He knew His son, He knew that Jesus would remain faithful.

Why? because they had been together for eon's of time.

Prov. 8:22 “Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago.30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time,31 . . . I was fond of were with the sons of men.

Rev 3:14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

So the answers to the basic questions are:

Jesus is equal to his brothers the angels and man.

Jesus being Jehovah's only begotten son, was the only one who could answer the challenge of will angels and man remain loyal to Jehovah under all tests.

All of us can be happy that Jehovah sent His Son to answer these questions.

This is why I bend my knee to Jesus to the glory of God his Father.

Jesus is different that all the other angels, although he being the Chief of Angels, he is also the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON of God.
The rest of creation are created through Jesus. Aside from that, Jesus personality is different, he does everything that his Father does, he doesn't follow even his own will. He is also the image of God. So why wouldn't Jehovah God trust his beloved Son? Your reasoning is like saying, well, we are all humans , and we can't be loyal to God, and God can't trust us, because Adam and Eve are humans also and we came from them.

All Jehovah's creations have free right. If Jesus was an automaton then his coming to Earth and willingly sacrificing himself would have been totally pointless.

Question: You are RIGHT ... JWs DO believe that Jesus Christ is an archangel and not the Son of God. Therefore, that makes JWs a classic CULT !!! Just because people say the name of God doesn't make them His [God's] people [Christians]. Of course, JWs claim to be the "only true ones" ... when you hear this, run the other way !!!

Except for the simple fact that this God predestined everyone! He knew exactly who would follow him and who would not. ROMANS 9:21 - 23 (Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,)

This God is the ultimate CONTROL FREAK he wouldn't let anyone be anything that he did not create them to be!!! After all HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!!!

THANK THE PINK MONKEY THERE IS NO GOD!!!!

So what you're saying is that Christ had no freedom of choice and was under mind control while on Earth?
