"Alignment with the higher Self"
This feels different for each individual, but the result is the same. You know you are in alignment when your heart feels open and your body feels as good as it gets.
Sometimes you may not feel your body at all, feeling light as air or like a gently floating balloon. There may be a sense of well-being and connectedness in your body plus a spark of creation.
Or you may feel sudden passion or happiness with a gentle tingle up your spine. No feeling is wrong.
The bottom line is that you are on top of the world when you are in alignment with your higher Self, and your body mirrors this. Everything feels on course and you feel on purpose."
How to Connect With Your Higher Self through the Wisdom of Your Body http://healing.about.com/od/higherself/a/alignhigherself.htm
Mediation work takes time and i have read many different ways to reach the subconscious or higher self.
Another technic is to listen to your inner voice..
That little thought that pops into your head.. the more you listen the louder you will get. It comes from your subconsciouse or higher self.

Abaracababara. That's an old, old word that means; The prayer one prays just before he dies. It is the "Open Sesame" that blinds the carnal, inner eye. By repeating (ie. chanting) the abacadabara prayer you are asking for the first breath you ever breathed to be united with the last one. It's then you'll hear the small still voice that comes from your heart. Your true voice. You, and only you, know what wisdom guides you. When you listen to that voice there will be no doubt, no pain, and no desire. Perhaps you need to study the four noble truths of Bhuddism first. Learn breath control first---then chant the Abacadabara. Be patient.

If you're familiar with hypnosis, then you've no doubt heard of Master Hypnotist Steve G. Jones. His book, "Ultimate Conversational Hypnosis" has been voted as the best hypnosis course ever made. The book is also available in electronic format at: http://www.hypnosistocontrol.net
If you want to get an edge in everyday communication and lead other people towards your goals this is a must read.

This is a very good question and totally suitable in the R&S section. The people here giving you a hard time just don't understand their own minds. Their loss...
Breathing meditations I think are the easiest to start with. Be patient, what you are after may take a long time to accomplish.

If you entered it you would be driven to madness for years and it would not be called the unconscious,,,,
Your unconscious is the part of you that is guiding you to learn things about your world... it is a teacher....
hmm step by step...
watch yourself, and all of your selfish motivations..... question everything......
your guide will be love, chase it......
the goal is to see how all humans are one unit and love for them is important,,,,,,
this could take a book....... gees.....
no idea about the focus thing,,,,, why would you want to..?
losing attachements is to stop wanting...... and be content.....
learn to accept pain as something to help you become stronger...

For focus there is only one way...PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. I've never heard of anyone "entering" the subconsious mind, but a good way is to hypnotise yourself. Just tell yourself "I'm going to count from one to ten, and at ten, I will be in a hypnotic trance." Count, and at each number tell yourself you are getting heavier and more relaxed. At ten, you should feel a light paralyzation, like you're body is so heavy you can't move it. Your mind should also be still.

You are already there. "It" just thinks differently than what asked.
As to the next, try a sensory deprivation chamber or
Live in the moment..."non time"
and the last.....
"You" are the world, where would "you" disconnect?
Be attached to everything to lose attachment to all.

Close your eyes, and let your mind wonder. If you start to listen, and focus on things around you. Then pinch yourself really hard until you cry.
