why are "christian" soldiers in the US military killing Iraqis?
i thought killing was wrong.

Why are Iraqis killing Iraqis? I support the war and i am an Atheist. Thats like double thumbs down.

well, one might imagine that since Jesus said "love your enemy and bless those who persecute you" and certainly seemed to be a pacifist by example that you'd be hard pressed to find a Christian in the military. but "God Guts and Guns made America great", "onward Christian soldiers" and "praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" overrides Jesus' Love message every generation. religion mixed with patriotism is like a congenital disease.
besides, GW is a born again Christian with Jesus' lips to his ear so fer sure it's okay if America shocks and awes Iraq into sectarian civil war. it's God's will and all that.

That first answer was a very good example of the mindset of most of our country. It seems it's ok when WE kill in the name of God, but not ok when the people of the countries we have invaded (past and present) fight back and use the name of God. Sounds like a big double standard to me.

well Charles ,as far as I know, there are Muslims in the US military as well ,so we can scratch you blemishing these poor souls, who have given their life to answer the call.
this is not about religion, but you know that already!

Are they all (or how many of them?) Christian soldiers? THEY ARE NOT killing Iraqis. They're fighting FOR the Iraqis AND your butt!

They have no choice. Our president got us into a war. How dare you point a finger at our men and women in harms way. They did not start the war, Bush did! We need to get them home tomorrow.
