Well, let's look at what the bible says, since as a Christian, that is where we get our information about God, about Jesus, about salvation. The bible says there are none good, than no one is without sin. So that means, yes, it's obvious if someone murders or rapes, that is a crime. But what is not so obvious are the sins that every single person commits throughout their lives, everyone does. Sin cannot enter the presence of God. So, the rapist cannot, and neither can the person down the street who may not have committed a crime worthy of prison, but in God's eyes, has sinned and cannot enter His presence either.
That is where the atoning death of Jesus on the cross redeems us; from every sin. Those sins that all can see, those that perhaps only we know about. So, the answer is yes. A person could murder someone, repent, confess Christ as savior and when they die, that person has been forgiven and will be in heaven. The person down the street that hasn't murdered anyone, but turns his back on Jesus, never repents, never believes? That person will not enter the kingdom of God. Because remember, no one is without sin.
By the way, a person who is truly born again, who believes in Jesus, this person has a changed heart. They will desire to live a godly life. Not to say they will never fail again....but they will not go out and desire to be wicked and evil anymore.
I hope that helps you with your question.

Jesus Christ said this in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me".
A Christian shouldn't want to live anyway other than what the Bible says, and if they truly are born again they won't be happy living a life of sin.
It doesn't matter what kind of sins a person has done, they can be forgiven if they come to Jesus Christ and make him their Lord and Savior.
A person living like hell, will more than likely end up there if they don't change.

That is a good question. Having been a Christian for over 60 years I can tell you that this idea of becomming a Christian by accepting Jesus is a new concept, probably less than 30 - 40 years old. Many Bible teachers call this new evangelism "easy believeism" because it requires nothing but a simple prayer and then you go to eternity in heaven when you die. The one thing lacking in this new gospel is the Lordship of Christ. Romans 10:9-10 says 9 "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." Without a confession of Christ as your Lord there is no salvation. Over 60 years ago when I became a Christian we came to God as a repentant sinner, prayed for mercy and He accepted us, not us accept Him. emember He is God, not us. Once you confess Him as Lord then you are under obligation to do what He says.

No you are right... REPENTANCE IS INVOLVED... without repentance there is no salvation.. Jesus said REPENT for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Repentance is turning from the ways of this world TO Christ.
If you claim to be a Christian and do evil.. .the Bible says that you have no part of God. True Bible believing Christianity puts a new man in the old suit while religion puts a new suit on an old man. A true Christian will be changed from within.
How can JUST believing can save you if you truly believe and to truly believe means repentance.... TURNING FROM THE WAYS OF THE WORLD.... not suddenly stopping eveything... but having a change of mind and heart... you will still sin but it will hurt so DEEPLY every time you sin... that you will walk a new life... not diving in sin.

Jesus Christ mentioned this in John 14:6 "I am the way in which, the reality, and the existence: no guy comes unto the Father, however by means of me". A Christian should not desire to reside besides as opposed to what the Bible says, and in the event that they real are born once more they may not be pleased dwelling a lifetime of sin. It does not topic what style of sins a character has performed, they may be able to be forgiven if they arrive to Jesus Christ and make him their Lord and Savior. A character dwelling like hell, will most definitely grow to be there if they do not difference.

There is something called regeneration, if you are a Calvinst, you know what i am talking about, once you become saved, you get the holy ghost, spiritual gifts ect. You also get to become more and more like Jesus ever day. That taking place every day,.it become harder and harder to do evil, but we are all still sinners and will not be perfect until Christ comes again. But still, they will...there are millions of athiest and still jesus is a free gift, there is Muslims in many countries and many differant religions and all of them do not advicate a person being saved to go to heaven, a free gift. There are millions of people who have never heard of jesus or the free gift, so those that take advantage of it and mirder and rape seem so very few to me.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

Excepting Jesus in your life, there is allot more to it than just believing in him. Knowing the word of God and living the word of God is the way to get into heaven. I also believe that not all people who have not excepted Jesus into their lives will go to hell. But that is not a christian belief, that ones mine. I believe if you live a good honest life, do onto other...., and be a good person in general you will be OK. My granny was all into the church, and she would disagree with me. She went to church every Sunday and wed night. So always preaching about excepting Jesus into our lives. I probably didn't answer your question, but i hope you figure it all out. There are allot of Church's out there, allot of believes, Hope you figure it all out.

You have figured it out. You must accept Christ, but that does not cancel the part about paying the last farthing for sin. If you sin all your earthly days, then the bottom line is you have a big negative balance with God. In order that one learns the lesson of repenting of sin, one must pay the price. The wages of sin is death. Death continues to kill the sinner, until all sin is in subjection to Christ. If the death process actually benefited mankind, you would read in the Bible that only a fool would not pray for death, but that is crazy.
