if they have no Spirituality nor Religion. You don't see me answering questions on Mongolian Culture. I'm not necessarily trying to convert anyone to any particular religion, nor promoting any form of spirituality in this question. If I never had seen a car to be able to believe there was a such thing, I sure as hell wouldn't answer any automotive questions. How could I?

I'm not trying to make this a religion/atheist battle, but trying to get understanding of why.

I learned a lot on here. Thank you. I never would have guessed that Atheists could be so emotional(considering the 'defensive by being offensive approach' taken). I thought atheists would be more concrete and diplomatic, define their entire life by reasoning, as opposed to emotion. I also learned from all the answers that the true answer is the good feeling atheists get from debate. I didn't promote any particular spirituality, higher being, nor religion. I wanted logical answer of why.

I think they go where the truth is most needed . .If I tried to sell you a car that did not exists would you have the integrity to speak then.there is a certain integrity to exposing the truth to the sheep before they feed the wolves . Meaning if I wake up one victim of the religious propaganda machine then their liberation was worth it to me and I won't feel so Guilty about their folly.you 've missed so many answers I can't begin to update you .but keep looking and maybe even a die hard like yourself might open the ears long enough to learn something contemporary on the current direction of religion and spiritually or the rejection and reason of many antiquated and unacceptable notions.

Due to being raised in a highly religious culture many atheists have thought long and hard for answers. In doing so, many of us see very clearly the obvious manipulation by many religious groups and we are here to point out the flaws.

And btw: I believe in a higher power, but I still consider myself an atheist as my higher power is love.

Furthermore, this is a free forum, quite simply if we want to answer questions here we are free to do so.

Your analogy is lacking. Just because we don't believe doesn't mean we don't know the answer. If you don't want to answer questions, then don't. But don't fret when we do.

Peace.

Now, if they weren't here, would you defend them to all the people who call them immoral trash? I don't think so. If they weren't here, you could say anything you wanted about them, and no one would care. Plus, it keeps things interesting, don't you think? Makes you think a little harder about things? Encourages you to have as much biblical knowledge as possible in order to defend your beliefs? And just because someone is Atheist doesn't mean they do not have knowledge of the Bible and some of the faiths out there. Actually, I would bet most Athiest were believers at some point in time.

I call myself atheist.... mainly because its the easiest thing to describe what i believe without writing a whole paragraph to explain...... although i mainly follow a SPIRITUAL path, hence spirituality.

Lots of people are the same.......

Even if they are true atheists, it doesn't mean they dont have an opinion on religion.

Neha hit the nail on the head........

Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe. Therefore, Atheism IS a religion - We believe that there is no God.

This is kind of like asking why are there critics in the world. If everyone was supportive or even agreed with you, then you would not improve. But, if you think about, it take some sort of faith to hold the belief that there is no god. Like I can't prove to you there is no god because of your evidence and faith, you can't proved to me that there is a god because of my evidence and faith.

They have some spirituality. A lack of anything is still something. That wouldn't make sense unless you understand the fact everything is truly nothing.

because many people find religion to be false and feel a moral imperative to talk about religion and question the veracity of it. It's okay, tons of people ask the same stupid question you just asked, so don't feel to dumb, o.k.?

Why are so many believers so bothered by this?

Why are you trying to answer religion and spirituality questions when you don't know anything about religion or spirituality? Why complain about atheists - who DO know about it - answering the questions when you believers - who know nothing about it - are putting out so much ignorant nonsense?
