how do you know that its written by "god"?

Because they're trained to from childhood, and children lack the ability to think critically. They accept everything: "don't cross the street", "don't lick electrical outlets", "don't blaspheme the holy spirit", "drink this koolaid and the starship will take us up".

Why do school children believe text books?
Yeah I know question with a question. The point I want to make is that you believe the things that teach you what you want to be taught. Really there is little else to be said as to why Christians believe the Bible, but you can also ask why the Jewish world believes in the Torah, which is the first half of the Christian bible or why the Muslims use the same stories. People believe what they feel is true.

I just though that you would like to know that before Charles Darwin died he declared that his books were based on lies which he himself had created. He was in fact a believer in God and he believed in the Bible. I personally believe in the bible because I have faith and I believe in God.

Forgive everyone who have wronged you, especially the ones who have really hurt you. I mean really forgive. Forgive also yourself for the things you did and did not do. Because they have the right to do so.
Why do you believe in evolution, or whatever it is that YOU believe. There is no evidence that the soul exists, yet so many people believe it without the evidence.
I honestly don't know why they do, it seems so...futile. ::Runs for cover as I get yelled at:: But asking this question seems quite useless, because you will have your fanatics who will rant and rave at you. This question is one that won't solve anything. But I do enjoy how much controversy it stirs up.

Hey, Charles, why do you believe in Darwin. "Origin of Species" states all non-european caucasions are intellectually superior to all other races and have a responsibility to care for the other races for their own good.
His deduction from 1850 scientific advancement of Europeans.
You haven't read Darwin, and you haven't read the Bible...you must be a liberal....
