SOME of u will HATE on anything, my father died in viet nam for WHAT! Firestone rubber? We need not repeat that loss. Imagine if I were last in line I'd still be watching the back of the marine in front of me, hoping another will come along to watch mine. You 61% in opposition are a bunch of sissies who will not be aware untile the US streets are rife w/ terrorists. Don't like the war? Move to friggin canada ya bunch of snotnoses!

Why would you want to go down there and possibly lose your life for a worthless cause. The only reason that many marines are still there is because they have no choice. I have a few friends that are marines and they all wish they no longer had to be a part of this. Enjoy the fact that you are free to walk around safe on the streets of the US, and pray that the marines that are already there make it back home safe.
If you wanted to join, why didn't you a few years ago before it was too late!!!! The cutoff age for the marines is 29. You could still join the army, the cutoff age is 42.

Cut off is now 42. However keep in mind old timer that boot obstacle course almost kills the young uns what is it going to do to you. besides this war will end soon. the most it can go is a year and a half. That will leave you with 2-3 years to serve sure thats the way you want to go?

I don't know if you are too old... but if you think going to Iraq is a good thing.. then I would say you are waaaay too stupid. Stay home and fight for peace here. Go to the Mexican border and help there... help a homeless person.. give money to those with no homes in New Orleans.
Our president is doing enough damage in Iraq.. we do not need another single person to die.

You can join between the ages of 17-42. and from my understanding you can still go to Iraq. God bless you for helping your country.. its good to know that not everyone has lost site of things, on of my teachers friends is 37 and he just got back from Iraq.

cutoff age is 28 last time i heard it could have been raised to 29 but the highest ive heard of getting a waiver is 30 so its very unlikely that you will get in.....sorry.......and i think we share the same feeling about wanting to hunt some ragheads down and put a chunk of lead in the back of his cranium....just the bad ones though......SEMPER FI and OO-RAH!!!!!!!

You are still young enough.
I tried to enlist right after 911 at the age of 32, but due to a hidden health problem i knew nothing about until then they wouldnt take me. Im willing to bet now they would.

As far as I know you can join at 35. I know the Army changed their regulations sometime last year, they are taking recruits till the ripe old age of 42. Good Luck!
