nice guy. super atheltic, very cute, very smart. but obsessed. kinda one step away from stalker. he im's me when he can (i almost never go online...but when i do, he's almost always there!). he stares at me throughout math (that's our only class together). he goes to my hockey games...even one away game (he said he was "passing by" the rink and decided to drop in. the rink was 14 miles away from his house and not on the way to/from school!) he talks to his friends endlessly about me. i know i sound a little harsh, but i am very serious and it's getting on my nerves. i hope he doesn't ask me out...because i have no idea what i would say. what do i do? how do i not hurt his feelings in the process?

TALK TO HIM.

Communication is the key here. Maybe he's acting so neurotic because you're not paying attention to him? It's probably an "any publiciity is good publicity" thing going on. Talk to him, settle him down, find out why he's acting the way he is, and stop him from wondering. If you don't talk to him, he'll never know. If you tell him flat and straight out how you feel (or don't feel) towards him, it'll probably stop him in his tracks.

You will be in so many situations like this. I would recommend just telling him that you really like him as a friend and don't want to do anything to jeapordize that. This makes him feel like you care and it lets him down easy. He may or may not recognize that you're not into him, but it's a way to take a step back without hurting him too much. Good luck!

Well, lets keep in mind that you play hockey. From what I have seen, girls that play hockey look like Mr. Ed the horse. Therefore, I would say that you better snatch that fool up. You may not find another man ever again that will like you. Your only gonna get bigger as you age and i know its hard to believe its possible, but uglier as well. Sorry if thats to harsh but thats the reality of the matter.

there is no choice but to hurt his feelings in this situation. Its something you'll have to learn to deal with, cuz this might come about more than once. If you continue to be nice and show signs of kindness, i predict it will only get worse unless you hurt his feelings in some way.

Hey before you start attacking the guy he him out, or approach him and ask him his intentions, let him down easily.
Block him from your IM...make sure you tell him how you feel, sometimes you need to be hush, to be sweet.

Take him to the side and tell him!

"_________(name), I really like having you as a friend but do you think you could step back a little?"
