Easy Pot Roast

Ingredients:
5 lb. roast
2 cans cream of mushroom
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 soup can water
Onion Salt

Combine soup, soup mix and water in crock pot. Place roast on top and generously sprinkle with lots of onion salt. Cover and cook 9-10 hours. NOTE: Do not open the lid too much because each time you do, it increases the required cooking time by 30 minutes.

*Mashed potatoes or hashbrown casserole goes very well with this. This makes alot of meat, so you will most likely have some left over. To make a yummy "next day" meal, shred the meat with a fork and sandwich in between 2 pieces of garlic bread. You can add swiss cheese and grilled onions to make it even better. Enjoy!

There's an awesome cookbook out there called Fix it and Forget About it http://www.amazon.com/Fix-Forget-Cookbook-Feasting-Cooker/dp/1561483397/sr=8-1/qid=1168488199/ref=pd_bbs_1/105-7928059-8387643?ie=UTF8&s=books
I have it and use it all the time.

Bean soups work well in crock pots, as well as pot roast, chicken and veggies, BBQ chicken, spaghetti sauce, chili, the list is endless. You can also Google 'slow cooker recipes' and come up with a wealth of info.

My crock pot has a removable inside, so I load it up at night and stick it in the fridge. Then in the morning I put it in the cooker and dinner is ready when i get home. yay :D!

Buy a nice whole chicken. Cut up potatoes, carrots, celery,
and place the chicken on top of the vegetables. Add one cup of water, or chicken broth. Add parsley, salt pepper and a clove of garlic. Cook on low all day. You will have a nice meal ready and the clean up is so easy. Enjoy.
