Very good....you have successfully pointed out the absurdity of the entire redemption issue.

God would not forgive evil so profound regardless of saying...ooops sorry about that evil behavior thing.....it won't happen again!

There is no such thing as heaven and hell. These are just terms used to scare human beings into being good. Nature is god, and everything works by Newton's principle - Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

If you do something really wrong, something really bad will happen to you - thats hell. If you do something really good, then life will be good to you- thats heaven.

Someone who's actions have been like this, will suffer at the hands of life. But if he realises that he has sinned and totally changes his path - thinking only good of others, being kind, honest and hard-working, then his life will start to turn for the better - heaven.

Stop believing in heaven and hell, there is no such thing. You pay for your sins ON EARTH. If you indulge in pleasures of the senses, you might enjoy your youth, but watch your old age, you'll spend it in an old-age home on life support, neither alive nor dead, with not a single family member interested in visiting you ever, THATS HELL.

This is a point that atheists like to bring up constantly to show just how ridiculous the idea of redemption can be. Myself being an atheist, when I first heard of this bizarre, seemingly counter-intuitive concept, I asked a lot of my Christian friends about this.

The short answer is Yes. However, it's not that cut-and-dry. A pedophiliac murderer can't just "redeem" himself by saying, "Ah, yeah, sorry. I accept Jesus as my savior. Tada." If he's lying, deeply and really lying (even if he's convinced himself otherwise) he'll still be rejected from heaven. He would have to honestly, honestly repent for what he did. Were that to happen, then sure, heaven he goes.

Still seems a bit strange, but that's what religion is, I suppose.

At first glance one's first urge is to say definetly not, but when you sit and think about God's love for humanity the answer is so much deeper. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son to the world to wash away the sins that humanity has committed. In saying that, any man or woman or child that truly is sorry for his/ her past experiences and truly makes a good confession and act of contrition will be forgiven by God.
Some say people should rot in hell for things they have done
here on Earth.
God also says, " No one shall entere the Kingdom of Heaven until the last penny is paid." Hence purgatory, where the soul is departed from God. The soul cannot pray for itself, but can only suffer the just punishment it deserves until God sees fit it enter the Kingdom.

Take it or leave it. This is what I believe.

See here is the thing, as much as us petty humans want to think that we are better than someone else we aren't. Sorry to break the news to you, but even if you haven't been on a murder/rape spree you really aren't that good of a person. I mean sure we like to think that, but we commit evil just the same.

And like it or not there isn't a set of degrees to evil. Lying is no better than killing and stealing is no better than rape. And I am sure that 90% of the world has done a little lying and stealing in there life. So I guess no one is good enough to get into heaven.

Kind of gives a better picture of Christ's suffering on the cross. What we see happening to him is nothing compared to bearing the burden of the sins of people like the man described.

It takes more than believing in Christ, you have to ask Him for forgiveness & put Him in charge of your life instead of your "ego" being in charge. But if you really want the most awesome gift/experience in the whole universe, (after asking for forgiveness & submission) ask for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It's like breathing fresh mountain air, dancing in sunshine and drinking nectar only much much much......... much better. They say that no words can describe the ecstasy of it and they ain't kidding!!!! Imagine someone that adores you, who just happens to be God, the creator of the universe, and you invite Him to join with your soul and love you the way a Father should.

When there is no more love of sin and his debt to divine Love is paid in full, only then could he be conscious of anything besides hardship, materialistic beliefs, and long suffering. Whether it is one million or one billion years to pay his debt is of little importance. God will be sure that the sinner has learned and can be trusted, before heaven arrives.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

Yes.

All he has to do is repent, that means turn away from his sin. He needs to get it right with His Creator. The way to do that is to ask Jesus to come into his life and make him a brand new creation. God takes what we are and turns it into something new. The Bible puts it this way, for old things have past away and all things have been made new.

Can a man who abducts, rapes, and kills a preteen girl still go to heaven?
The answer ...NO.

But if he repents (TRULY IN HIS HEART) and God knows the truth of his heart... if he is fake Jesus said in Matthew many will come in that day and call me Lord and say they have done many things in my name and I will say unto them DEPART from me you who work iniquity.

But if someone does evil, MOSES murdered... and Paul used to kill Christians.... and comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and changes their heart (repentance) toward Jesus Christ... they will go to heaven.... remember thou shalt not KILL is right there with thou shalt not lie... and it is for good reason...the Bible even says that if you break ONE law just ONE commandment you are guilty of breaking ALL.

That is the forgivness of God... Jesus said He came not for the righteous but to call sinners to repentance. There is nothing too great for God to forgive.

If this offender calls himself a Christian then does this offence, I do not believe he is saved. For it is salvation and the goodness of God that leads you to do good.

It is funny that people try to take the WORST thing possible to try to convict the Bible for somehow allowing this horrible act. But forgivness IS possible... even in humans.

I personally know a 16 yearold girl, now 22-23... who was brutally raped... BRUTALLY raped by an unknown male. She was torn apart down below and severly beaten in the face. She stated she forgave the person who did it to her.

If SHE could forgive such an act... couldn't a LOVING God forgive it?

The blood of Jesus covers "Any" and "All" sin. No sin is too great for the redemptive powers of our Savior. Even as the beat Him, spit upon Him, ridiculed Him, and nailed Him to that cross.
His only words were, Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do. They were crucifying God Himself to that cross, it doesn't get more personal then that. All sin is rebellion against God, He died for our sakes so that we could be free from All sin.
