Watch what you put on your face such as phones, your hands or maybe even your hair. I have breakouts there a lot and it is normally b/c of my hair or my phones at work.

I have the SAME PROBLEM...i dont even want to go to school anymore for this....but I know my problem - I finally found something that worked and because i was all clean on my face, i stopped using it. It was Proactiv that worked. And I am ordering another batch right now, it is really emotionally annoying that noxema stuff doesnt work, forget it. I found out why the breakout happen around the chin - usually oil and dirt accumulate there, and when we wash our face, we ignore that part, and then a small on comes on, we ignore it and then the big ones start coming...thats when we go crazy (im in the process of crazy right now...just praying for the proactiv to come in the mail)
also, we rest our hands on our chin....and when sleeping, we pull up the blanket up to our chins...all that has dirt, cause no one washes their hands or blankets every second - so thats the reason
sadly this expensive proactive is the only thing that has helped me, all summer my face was flawless and now.....
gotta keep the blankets, bed sheets, and pillow cases clean
order some proactiv if you can afford it, they have a package for $19.95, Its affordable and u can cancel any time
it really works....i am not kidding
well best of luck to u, wish same for me
i know the pain of this chin crap...cant even hide it with my hair!
**as for people who say proactiv does not work - they did not use it right - as i had not either, for the first few weeks
i learned later on
first you gotta wash with the face wash, then use the cotton ball to wipe off the DIRT, yea, the dirt that the face wash pulled out - you can actually see it on the cotton ball, dirty old skin
THEN apply the lotion - see most people just wipe it off with the cotton ball, lightly, leaving ALL THE DIRT AND OLD SKIN ON and then put the lotion on TOP of it.....yea thats why it doesnt work
but trust me, as a person with acne from 11 years old..im 18 now...only proactiv works

Jen,
The problem is mainly Hormonal, it can also be exacerbated ( made worse) by worrying about it.
Oily skin is always more susceptible to pimples, you may need to change the solution you are using as it may not be working as well as it should. Try some of the other products, Proactive or some other product specifically for oily type skin. Your pharmacist or doictor should be ablt to give you some advice.
Try not to squeeze them as this will lead to permanent scarring in many cases. Lazer treatment has been used by some but this may be the last resort, seek and explore the medical intervention avenue first

i go through the same thing...nothing ever seems to work. while eliminating stress is a huge acne prevention tip, there are still other ways and reasons why you break out and how to minimize them.
some people always break out. sometimes it's just hereditary, sometimes it's because of depression/stress. you might just have to wait it out to be honest, as i said sometimes it's natural.
if you want to go the dermatologist route, you may be better off. they are professionals and deal with cases like yours everyday.
but one thing, i highly would NOT recommend pro active, that stuff basically ruined my face, and made me break out alot more...so stay away from it. right now im using a product called clinique, which works ok. also, washing your face too much can cause break outs, so maybe try washing once a day...that noramlly helps too..

Clogged pores, hormonal reacting, acne.
You stated that that you don't drink a lot of water, try to push yourself, like 4-7 glasses a day. If you can consult with a dermatologist, or a skin care professional. try using no soap on your face, just wash with Aveeno or Neutragena, then a Sea Breeze for a mild astringent, last, moisturize with a non-fragrant, hypoallergenic type.
Just some things that have worked for me.......
