A flu is different from a cold. A cold is called by the cold virus(rhinovirus). There are more than 100 serotypes of rhinoviruses. Therefore it huge task to produce a vaccine agains all the serotypes of the virus. Therefore treatment is more viable. Symptomatic treatment with antihistamines and phenylephrine (B adrenoceptor agoinist) would help.
A flu is caused by influenza virus. There are vaccines but they do not cover all the different strains. Several other viruses and bacterial causes flu like diseases too.

There is no cure for the flu (though there are some medications that are somewhat effective against certain strains, such as amantidine), you're just going to have to treat the symptoms and ride it out.
