how to install speakers in 99 pontiac grandprix?

do i need to remove rear cover/panel?

you go in from the trunk area,and go up from the bottom,this is how you get to those,,once you remove the panel,,you,ll see the speakers ,and the holders good luck hope this help,s.

in my grand am, you have to take out the whole rear panel. but in my old 99' grand am, you could just remove the factory speaker grills. pull them out from the top, and boom.
