First, figure out why you turn red when you drink. Is it because you don't really like alcohol? Is it because what you're drinking is too strong? Are you old enough to drink? If these things apply, you should (if you're old enough to drink) try something lighter than you are drinking, and if you don't like alcohol...you don't have to drink. Seriously...don't do something you hate, just to fit in. People will respect your decision not to drink, MUCH more than they would respect your decision to force yourself to prove you're 'one of the guys/girls'. If you're too young....well, that's self explanitory. Just don't.

Practical: Drink very small amounts, drink lots of water the day before and before consuming "strong" drinks. Stay away from shots. I always ask a bartender to 1/2 the alcohol in my drink.
Informational: There are many reasons people turn red when they drink, some people are allergic to some of the components of a particular drink while others simply have a lower percentage of water in the body (before heading out to the clubs, drink lots of water starting the night before). One rare reason people get red after drinking is a genetic mutation in the gene that creates the enzyme that breaks down alcohol which leads to an accumulation of acetaldehyde; which causes blushing, nausea, disorientation, dizziness.

Drink a great deal of water while drinking or when you are done then take an aspirin or two. Your face turns red because the alcohol constricts the capillaries in your face due to dehydration. The water and aspirin prevents that. It's also a good hangover prevention.

Be in limits. It will be a wonderful experience. Try to drink alone and you will be in bliss. The company spoils. You may be solving many problems in your solitude away from the distracting outer world. But be sure it should not be a hard stuff like whiskey, rum, gin, vodka etc. They will depress you in their secondary effect in the morning. Day drinking anyway is murderous. Drink you must but only wines or beers and NOTHING ELSE if you want to experience the bliss. Try and let us know.

I've noticed my face flushes when drinking darker alcohol like brandy or whiskey. Clear alcohol such as vodka & gin usually help. I don't turn red from those as much. good luck

From my experience, the only thing that stopped my face, neck, and chest from becoming blotchy red, was to stop drinking. At first vodka did it to me,then rum, then wine,etc... The redness and blotchiness are allergic reactions. It's no fun, I know!

My daughter has this same problem, one glass of wine will turn her nearly purple. not all wines will do this to her but we have deduced that is the sulfites in the wine that causes this.

women used to use small amounts of arsenic to make their complexion pale. DO NOT DO THIS.
Maybe if you got a tan first it would be less noticeable.
