Dog Helps Youngster to Safety
A 3-year-old black and white pit bull resembling Pete the Pup from the 1940s "Little Rascals" shows grabbed the back of a girl's jacket and helped her out of a burning home Thursday night. After 6-year-old Autumn Marley alerted her mother that the Nordale Road home where they were staying was on fire, the dog--also named Marley, by coincidence--grabbed the girl as she struggled to get out the back door of the burning house and helped her to safety, said the dog's owner, Jennifer Ingram. "She's always been an awesome dog, but I didn't know she was capable to doing this," Ingram said of Marley, who she raised from a pup.

Its always the owner never the dog.
People need to stop criticising Pit Bulls and start criticising their owners that raise them that way. I know tons of loving pit bulls that I would trust around kids. They make the sweetests and loveable dogs.

I have a Pit He is a sweetheart ...loves kids and other dogs and even cats(I hate cats) It is the owner and the training of any animal and the love you give them. Any dog can be trained to be mean and kill. All animals have this Killer instinct to survive..but they can be fed and loved so they don't and also all dogs if they are threatened in a way that they need to protect themselves will do just that.

They HAVE killed children and other animals. The thing is, they don't ALL have a bad temperment. And most of them don't do any harm if you know how to take care of them and handle them in the first place. I knew a pit bull that was the sweetest thing and he wouldn't hurt a fly. Unfortunately, he got out of the house and was hit by a car. It was my friend's dog. He was really friendly towards other people and dogs though.

Nice to finally hear some good things about pitbulls. I own one and she is very gentle and loveable. Their is always alot of negitive concerning these dogs. As a owner of one, it is the way that you raise these dogs and all the love that you give them. Thank you for mentioning this......

Marley is a member of that family and has not been mistreated or trained to be vicious. We make a dogs temperament.
