I'm not talking about the original DST, I'd have to be in idiot not to know that. lol and I didn't say they added a month to the year.

Yes, that was the excuse that was used. In 2007 Daylight savings will start in late March instead of early April and end in early November instead of late October.

yes, it was created in the mid seventies during an energy crises. Do a Google search on "creation of daylight savings" and all documents will come up.
