Actually all three languages are very similar. The only real differences are some of the spellings of a few words. My fiance is Danish and he knows both Swedish and Norwegian. He says they're really not that different.

If you are planning on visiting Sweden then learning a few common phrases would benefit your visit or if you have Swedish family members or friends. I have heard that once you learn one foreign language then others are easier to comprehend and pick up. Good luck!

If you are into translating, you could probably get a pretty sweet job working as a translator. Nearly everyone here has taken a Spanish class, but few of us know Swedish

theres really no point unless you have a personal reason, you would have a lot more you learning spanish or even mandarin chinese becuase they're a few of the most spoken languages in the world.

i think if you are planning on going there then you should learn...it may be helpful sometime to learn other languages in order to help people and it shouldn't be that hard to learn others
