SOUL AND SPIRIT AT RESURRECTION
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Dan.12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt
Eze.37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up
out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
Eze.37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
Eze.37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
Isa.26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
Eccl.3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
Eccl.3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
Eccl.3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Eccl.3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
Job 34:14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
Job 34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
Psm.146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Psm.104:29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. 30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created:
and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Psm.115:14 The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. 17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
Psm.49:14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
Gen.3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 2:7and 1 Corinthians 15:45 says man came to be a living soul it does not say that man received a soul but he became a living soul. All breathing creatures are souls. See Genesis 1:20-24. So the soul is not part of a man or animal but the whole person or animal as a living being that can also die according to Ezekiel 18:4.

Genesis 2:7Â And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.
our bodies are souls, we do not possess them
Eze 18:4Â Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.
no part of the body survives death, but we are placed in God's memory awaiting the resurrection
acts 24:15Â and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous
so i do know what it looks like, it looks like a body, your s or mine or anyone elses, it is the body it is no tin the body, and yes i have seen a soul, or the body

It is the essence of you. According to the book of Romans 7:22 it is called 'inner man'. Soul and spirit are two different things. According to Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words, the soul is. a) the natural life of the body; b)the immaterial, invisible part of man; c) the disembodied (or 'unclothed' or 'naked' man; d)the seat of personality, own self;e) the seat of the sentient element in man, that by which he perceives, reflects, feels, desires; f) the seat of will and purpose; g) the seat of appetite; h) persons, individuals.
It exists. It can be affected in many ways, for example it can be vexed, it can despair, it can hunger, it can die (sin). In other words, just about any emotion. Some say it appears as a light over the body of the deceased, lingers for awhile, then disappears.
As to location. The Greek word for soul is psuche' or pysche. If you look at all the things spoken of, it is located in the mind or conscience , or the heart (not the physical one) you know when someone says, I feel it in my heart.
After we die, the soul goes back to God to be judged. After the Final Judgment, it will be reunited to the body.

The soul, according to many religious and philosophical traditions, is a self-aware ethereal substance particular to a unique living being. In these traditions the soul is thought to incorporate the inner essence of each living being, and to be the true basis for sentience. In distinction to spirit which may or may not be eternal, souls are usually (but not always as explained below) considered to be immortal and to pre-exist their incarnation in flesh.
The concept of the soul has strong links with notions of an afterlife, but opinions may vary wildly, even within a given religion, as to what may happen to the soul after the death of the body. Many within these religions and philosophies see the soul as immaterial, while others consider it to possibly have a material component, and some have even tried to establish the mass (weight) of the soul.
However, most believers of atheism and other non-religious philosophies do not accept the existence of a soul

Most people disagree on what the soul actually is but in general the soul is more of an abstract idea that constitutes the "essence" of who you are. It's not like a body part or anything.
For example Christians think that when you die, your body stays on Earth while your soul (your thoughts, feelings, intelligence, etc.) go to heaven.

I used to work in the morgue at our local hospital. I do know that the human body after death loses weight - I mean besides bodily fluids, etc, of course. It is a few ounces, if memory serves me right. How did you get the guitar there instead of the "head" the rest of us are stuck with?
Do you play? We just saw Joe Satch in concert last month -
it was awesome -
anyway, The Bible describes it as your intellect, your thinking process and being. When you are absent from the body, you are present with the Father; ya get a new body to encase the soul in. We only have flesh bodies as a vehicle to get around.

The soul is the spiritual part of the body. Death separates the soul and the body. Christians believe that the soul lives forever. God created the soul inside of us and it is invisible to us because it is a spirit.

It is that part of us that has the ability to know that we exist.
It also is the part of us that loves, hates, envys, enjoys and feels fear.
It is our own personal internal design. The true fingerprint of our selves that makes each one of us special and unique.
It cannot be seen but we all feel that it is definitely there.
I believe it is inside as well as outside of us. It might be something like our own personal light, only without the glow.
I have never seen it but I.m sure if it could be seen it would be really something beautiful to look at. Atleast, in good people. I guess.
Just a thought.

The soul is the inherent energy of God and resides inside our
bodies and presents itself as that realization we all have of the inner me. With practiced learning you can most definitely feel, see, and have intelligent contact with your soul, and in so doing break the bonds of dualism and experience the singularity
