Preferably, I won't have to buy anything, but if so, what are the best/cheap relievers.

It all depends on the reason you have pain! Could be something very simple or something serious!

Where the pain occurs (lower back, near the neck, etc...) would be usefull info as well. Then again, most of the answerers here are not medical professionals and are not qualified to answer this question.

Me thinks, if you can afford to see a doctor, that would be your best bet!

In the meantime, do not lift anything more than a few pounds. Change your stance (favorite leg) often. Keep info on how you sleep, which side, back or front. Shoes off as often as possible.

Best bet, see a doc!

Hope this helps!

First, you should discuss these pains with your doctor. He or she could better determine how serious it is or if it's from something you do repetitively (like a sport) that you can learn to do in a more ergonomic fashion.

I usually can get rid of back pain (from computer use, riding my bike, etc.) by stretching it out. Look up some cool yoga moves like the sleeping baby and crouching dog.

And if that's not making it go away, try lots of water and some ibuprofen just before bed.

When I was about 15 or 16, I used to get lower back pain. I talked with my doctor and he told me that a lot of times exercises and stretching will help relieve and eventually knock out the pain. I took his advice and it actually helped me out a lot. But the best thing for you to do is to consult your primary care physician about what to do. I hope you get rid of the pain!
