Society(especially US society) is like a person that has a problem and know he/she has a problem;so they go to the phsychiatrist to get help with their problem. But for some odd reason when the person gets to the doctors office to get help with their problem;for some reason they start denying that they have a problem.Doctor tells them well you came here,so their must be something wrong. And the person just very adimantly denies having any kind of problem;and refuses to evan listen to anyone(doctor, parents, spouses ect.) tryna convince them and show them that they need to go back and let the doctor help them.

Does this not sound like the spiritual and mental state of society(US & otherwise) today?Everybody know there's a problem, christians know there's a problem, and evan a few other that arnt christian know. And when we try and let them know how to fix what's wrong, they refuse the help.

Agree with the comparison or No?Explain why?

Yes, I agree. The problem is a Christian can only explain the problem and the cure; the "patient" has to want and ask for the cure, themselves. We can shake them and say look you will die today, but they must believe and know they will die, before they feel a need to seek the cure.

I'd agree that the Western World has become largely focused on materialism and pleasures. And most people have not figured out that "stuff" and "pleasures" won't fill the emptiness they feel inside.

The reason society at large denies there are problems is because popular Western Culture promotes "man" as the source for truth. People keep looking into their empty souls looking for fulfilment and don't get it when they find emptiness.

Christians don't know there's a problem; if they realized it, they would stop and there wouldn't be a problem.

Instead they're concerned with bogus "problems" like what gods allow and forbid, which books are 'moral', and which non-christians should be allowed to marry whom.
