ive never been in a relationship, but i noticed my friends, once they get into one, they cant help but look for another once it ends..thus, the cycle of pain and breakups..then they look for another lover again..i dont want the same thing to happen to me....why does it go like this? how can you prevent this from happening?

im 18, been pessimistic about relationships..my mother talks to me every night how unstable relationships are, my sister and friends talk about their problems too...so that's why ive been afraid..i avoid flirting as much as possible but at the back of my mind, i hope i just meet the right person right away and not go thru all series of heartache!

It just happens. We don't none want this. Some people just don't take feelings seriously. They get in a relationship for the wrong reasons. And then the one who falls in love doesn't see it coming. There are selfish people in this world, and it's sad that it's like this in the world.***Just watch and listen to the person that you get interested in and if it seems to good to be true then it is!
If your careful it maybe possible for you to pass this heart ache, but I don't think it's likely. I think it's part of life. I wish no one should have to feel this way. But how would we know how to appreciate anyone if we don't loose something? Make sure if you do get your heart broke you take and look at what each of you did and what your attracted to in this person, make sure your happy with yourself by yourself and then try looking for something different than before. you can 't stop love no matter what you do. Pain is a natural part of life. Some people bounce back. It is always important to remember that there is someone for everybody out there in this crazy world. You need to get out and find that for yourself. How will you ever find the one that is meant for you if you don't get out there. Not everybody gets hurt some people find their soul mate.

Believe it or not many people keep doing the same thing through out their lives because they never stop and look at the mistakes they've made in their relationships and never try to change.

I'm guessing you're real young. Your friends are not mature and they're just toying with relationships. It sounds more like lust than love.
People find real love when they are more mature. You look for someone who you can't live without. It first starts with friendship and it grows to something more.
There's someone for everyone. Don't despair. Your time will come. Smile.
