Gf and I broke up after 6 years. We are 24. She said that she felt like she only loved me as a friend and not a bf. My question is will she realize on her own how much I really mean to her, or will she have to date other people to realize it?
She said I'm perfect for her and everything she wants in a guy, just her heart and head aren't in the relationship because she thinks it has gotten boring.

Wow 6 years is a long time. Well, I'm not sure if she'll ever realize it. Since she said you're perfect, I don't know what's wrong with her. Perhaps she just need some time for herself to learn that she needs you. Either that or she just wants to be friends and maybe have feelings for other people. Sometimes people never can tell the good things that are in front of them. I don't know exactly what to tell you. But I hope everything goes well for you and her if you do get back. If not, at least for you!

My qustion to her would be when exactly did it get boring? after 6 years of my life with someone that's bull if u ask me, she says you're perfect for her and everything she wants but.........that's bull she has other reasons behind that i think, if it's boring tell her to think of ways to bring the excitement back..she wants to test the water and when she finds out that no one is better than u then she'll be back. Respect her decision that's all u can do if she's not feeling it but dont let her try to do her thang and come back when she's done. I understand that u guys are youndg but u were able to stay together this long so its evident that u care for one another but in my opinion she's bored because she wants to date other people....What is she gonna do when someone takes the perfect man that she had? things that make u go hmmmmmmmmmmm!

perhaps she does, or you need to realize you deserve better. I mean wait a tiny bit, see what happens. Otherwise move on, she has already taken steps to by ending ur relationship. Life is too short to be stuck on stupid or confusion.

You guys have basically only been with each other so i think your gf prob wants to c whats out there. it hurts but it happens. she might realise on her own but more likely she will realise after meeting new people..sorry

I think she said how she feels and you should not try to wait her out. You deserve someone who truly loves you.
