My exboyfriend cheated on me, lied to me and treated me like ****. I found out he had a girlfriend while he was trying to get back together with me after we had dated on and off for 2 years and we haven't spoken since. If we happen to see eachother at a public place we totally ignore eachother. My current boyfriend is friends with my ex and they hang out and party alot, when they hang out I will not go becuase my ex does not want to see me and I don't want to see him. Do I have a right to be upset/ worried when my boyfriend hangs out with my ex? What should I do about it?

just adding on the reason this became an issue is last week my bf and I were supposed to hang out but my ex was having a party at his house that my bf wanted to go to, he tried to get me to go but its just too awkward so it ended up him going without me...

Well, he's going to hear about every bad point you have, and a few you don't, and those are usually things you like to reveal when it suits YOU, but of course since your ex is such a great guy, he's going to slam you every chance he gets, and I find some men are prone to copying friends behavior and he could very well come home and treat you the same way the ex did. I'd discourage him from it(try not to nag) but you really can't say who he can be friends with, soo.... good luck.

I don't see the point why you should get upset or worried if you have done nothing wrong in the first place. If your ex wants to talk bad things about you to your bf, it depends if your bf choose to believe you or your ex. You should just let things take its nature course.

So who cares that he is your ex?? And if he treated you good it will be arkward but he is an asshole when he is with you so I say just go out with your bf and have some fun and let him see how good your current bf is treating you.... and see what he is missing by losing you...

Well, I usually would say you shouldnt be so upset at ur partners choice of friends, but if he was like that and treated u so wrong... does ur bf know? I think it should matter to him a lot if he is ur bf. I would be upset, but dont over react to it.

you should be up set and worried you should tell your boyfriend to STOP HANG OUT WITH YOUR EX and tell him why you don't want him to hang out with him. if he really like you he would stop. try to find him another person to hang out with
