The one I make can use either unrefined sugar or sea salt (Celtic sea salt from France is best) and a combination of essential oils that are suitable for your skin type and age, I use 3dps each patchouli, orange and geranium oil and mix with the salt/sugar. This can be used all over the body and leaves your skin so smooth and soft to the touch it's unbelievable. Try making a small batch and experimenting on the back of your hand fist to see if you like this recipe. Initial cost will set you back AU$60.00 but there is enough stuff there to last you around eight months.

Mix a few tablets of uncoated aspirin with water until a paste is formed. Spread it over your face and let it dry (you'll sneeze). After about thirty minutes wet your fingertips and massage the grains (as it will form grains) for several minutes, like you are exfoliating. Rinse off. This combo mask/scrub is good for smoothing the surface of your skin and reducing visible pores.

Mix brown sugar and milk until its like a paste, it exfoliates really good and leaves your skin soft. You can also use it as a a body scrub too.

I use oats and honey, which is not harsh like sea salt or baking soda and all-natural. And you can leave it on after scrubbing, and it is a great mask.
