Sure it's okay. Don't reject him because of a 2 year age difference, because he sounds like an absolute sweetheart.

It's not the normal thing to do, but I see no harm in it.They worse that can happen, is that your friends may kid you about cradle snatching. And you can just laugh at that.
The problem, will come, when you are eighteen and he's sixteen, assuming you are still together, unlikely, considering your age. You will then be an adult, and he a minor, and that can set up all sorts of problems for you both.
So just make it a casual thing. dinner, movie etc, but not a real romance. Tell him, it will just be as a friend.
After a couple of outings, you can tell better, how it's going to go.

You could date. Dating does not have to be a serious thing. You can just get to know each other without getting all deep and heavy about it. And if you end up together great. Just think when you are 28 he'll be 26 and that 's not a bad age difference when you really think about it.

If you like him and he's such a nice guy and all, it shouldn't matter about his age. It would be different if you were of age and he was a minor, but that is not the issue, at least not right now.
Anyway, it's only two years. That isn't much. If the guy is mature enough to have an older girlfriend, why not?

If you like him who cares what people think, I thought about it alot but he grew on me and I love him so much, the age will grow off u wont even think about it. Just keep in mind age is just a number.

Maturity is the key. Ive dated girls in the past that were later surprised to find out i was 1-2 years younger than them. In retrospect, they probably thought i was older or the same age as them due to maturity.

Depending on the state you live in, you could be considered as an adult at 16 and he is still a minor. Watch out.

Girl, give him a chance. There is nothing wrong with a girl dating a younger guy. If you like him, go for it, and don't even start thinking about what people may think.

Age is only a number, it can work out just fine! Don't let it bother you, and don't label him as just "14", but as the person he is.
