When this happens, some guys are either with their girlfriends or with their homeboys or by themselves. Do they think that I am ugly? Do they not want me to know that they are looking at me? What is it?

Think about it.
They may have been checking you out, no matter who they are with or if they are alone. But, then again, we all look at people all the time, and then look away. So, don't attribute anything to it necessarily, unless it's accompanied by other clues.

I do not know how and what some guys think, but here is a guess.. some guys look quickly and turn quickly because I suppose they are very shy, but I think most guys do this look and turn around quickly because guys like looking at girls, every kind of girls, short, tall, skinny, fat, young, old.. Guys like to look, it is who they are. It has nothing to do with you not being nice, but just that they are guys. They turn away because they do not want to be caught looking. Do not worry about it.. you have their attention for a sec and in that sec just smile back and enjoy the flattery.. Smile, Laugh, Live

I do that with guys. Sometimes I'll feel like someone's staring at me, I look at them and quickly turn away to smile cuz' I think they were checking me out!

Well if they are looking and not laughing that generally means you're hot, if you hear laughter your ugly. Some guys may find you so pretty they get intimidated and don't want to get rejected.

Hate to be truthfull but could be either you are pretty or butt ugly. From the way you describe it though, they are "CHECKING YOU OUT" more than likely...and they prob. didnt mean for you to see them. I am a guy and I should know!!

I doubt that you're ugly. I think you were right with the other guesses; they either don't want you to know they're checking you out, or they're already with someone and aren't SUPPOSED to be checking you out!

I am a guy, and love women. It is that I think you are pretty, but I don't want you to think I am staring at you, or I don't want to be caught by a girl I am with.

Do you know what, they probably aren't even looking at you...that or they are thinking about something entirely other than you but their gaze fallls on you during their daydream. Don't lessen your confidence so much.......you are only as ugly as youn tell yourself and vice-versa...I promise

that depends on how they were looking at you. it kind of sounds like you know the answer you just want it heard but i will humor it. it sounds like they were checking you out and you caught them in the process. it doesn't mean they like you persay, but rather they think you are attractive and you caught them. those who are alone or with 'home boys' probably like you but those with girlfriends, again this is opinion, were checkin you out. its normal
