invite her to your wedding. give her a note or something by telling how important she is on your wedding day. she just needs a little tingling words. you know women, you need to tickle them. and besides, she acted as your real mom since you were a kid. she was there when your dad wasn't always around. for short, you wouldn't be were you are if not because of her too. give a little credit. deep inside her, she cares for you.

right it truly is my position as someone whose boyfriend's father had an affair with yet another lady and married her: you should surely invite the step-mom. not inviting her would not purely be very hostile to etiquette as they are married, however it would want to easily reason better pressure contained in the relatives. i'm able to purely imagine 1 among those hysteria which will be contained in the air at the same time as my boyfriend and that i eventually get married! not purely did his dad cheat on his mom and then marry the girl he had the affair with, yet she is 20+ years their junior (a 12 months older than my boyfriend's older brother, in case you could imagine the awkwardness there!) and they have a 2 12 months previous son mutually! however, i could not in any respect imagine of not inviting the step mom to the marriage basically because of a relatives rift. The households must be mature adequate to entice close that they ought to not say something in the journey that they could't say something high-quality. Be the bigger human beings and invite the step mom.

you've done good thing to invite your step om to your wedding to show your gratitude t her being with you while growing up. It seems that you like her to be part of your life where as she must be taking your approach other way round. As far as your biological is concerned, she was a heartless woman, leaving babies with stranger.Any way it seems that you are on right tract even without the guardians of the mother at time of need. If your step mom doesn't want to show up,then let it be .After all you have done the appropriate thing by inviting her to your wedding.Don't get your self stress just because she is avoiding you. That will her loss. So be happy.

You can never and shouldn't force anyone to come to your wedding.
It was a very nice gesture for you to have even invited her to your wedding. However, if she is being childish and rude and toying with your emotions...forget about it. You've got a wedding to plan and the rest of your life in front of you. Don't let her get you down...
A mom is someone who loves you unconditionally and wants the best for you and this woman...seems to just have the title of "mom" without actually deserving the title.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Think about it this way - if you force her to come to your wedding she could make it really miserable for you. This is supposed to be the happiest day of your life so you don't want someone there who is just going to bring the festivities down. It's unfortunate that she wants to avoid you on this special day in your life but if she makes you miserable or your guests unhappy, you'll end up not wanting to see her in the future. My advice would be to leave it me and not force the issue. Hope it all works out for you and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

I would let her know it means a lot to you that she be there. If you aren't comfortable with having her do the "mother duties" or don't trust she will follow through, then tell her you just want her to be able to enjoy herself. This worked for me when I wasn't sure if someone was going to show or not.
You have enough stuff to stress about right now, and you don't need her ruining one of the most exciting times in your life! Good luck and have fun!

You can't make her come, but you can let her know that it would be very special for you if she would. Otherwise, I hope you will have a wonderful mother-in-law to share things with. Best of Luck!
PS, Just let is go and focus your attention on your hubby!

I don't know that you can make a grown woman do anything. Have you tried explaining, in a respectful way, that it would mean a lot to you, that you'd feel your wedding was incomplete without her? You can catch more bees with honey.

No, don't make her. The next time she says she might not come, then just say "I would like it if you were there, so I hope you can come" and leave it at that.
You invited her. It's up to her to choose to come. The ball's in her court, so to speak.
