Hmmm..that really depends on your taste and what you're trying to accomplish...
If you're trying to make the baby smarter, choose Mozart or something like that...classic classical.

Soothing the baby?,,,try a meditation CD

Make the baby move around a lot?...maybe a bellydancing/drum CD?

Inspirational? Try: I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack

If it's just to set a mood, or to set the pics to some touching background music, I would use these:

Baby Mine - Bette Midler (Beaches Sndtrk)
You Are So Beautiful - Joe Cocker
I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack
Lullabye - Billy Joel
Family - Dar Williams
The One Who Knows - Dar Williams

When I was younger, I would have chosen Pink Floyd, hands down.
Maybe just some simple common lullabyes played on piano or something, or I'd probably do some Paul Simon ("Father And Daughter" is a good one, among many).

Maybe something classic and calming, yet cheerful, like Perry Como?

For a little girl: My Little Girl - Tim McGraw
Father and Daughter - Paul Simon
I Will Take You Home - Grateful Dead

It's really such a personal decision...you may really love country or R&B...in which case, you'd probably strongly dislike most of my suggestions.

Do you have some lullabyes that are part of your nationality or heritage? That could be a meaningful background.

You might want to try Celine Dion's Miracle album, it has a lot of great songs on it.
