I'm really interested in World War II history. It's the biggest thing in my life, but books and mueseums can only give me so much.
I was wondering if there was anyway I could touch World War II guns?
Without the ammunition of course.
But just to have a good look at them, aim down the sites, have a go at loading a magazine and stuff.
Any help would be most appreciated.
I reside in Victoria, Australia.

See if the Australian Army has an ordnance museum of some sort. You may be able to schedule some sort of special access to the items there. Other than that, you will either have to rely on private collectors or replicas.

Too bad you aren't in the U.S., it is very easy to purchase WWII weapons (semi-auto anyway). I have an M1 Garand and an M1 Carbine. I even have the bayonet for the Garand and plenty of ammo for both (they are both a blast to shoot). Not sure about Australia though.
