I am doing a research project for spanish and I am using a recipe that calls for 10 oz. of bread and 21 oz. of tomatoes. What would these measurements be in US standard measurements?

Here is a Table of Measurements:

1 pinch = 1/8 teaspoon
60 drops = 1 teaspoon
3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon = 1/16 cup
2 tablespoons = 1/8 cup or 1 fluid ounce
4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup
8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup
12 tablespoons = 3/4 cup
16 tablespoons = 1 cup
8 ounces = 1 cup
16 ounces = 1 pint
2 cups = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart
4 cups = 1 quart
4 quarts = 1 gallon

An average loaf of bread is about 20 oz, so a half of a loaf would be 10 oz. Canned tomatoes vary in size, however a can of Rotel diced tomatoes are 10 oz. so you would need at least 2 or a large can. Trouble comes when you convert meters, liters, clicks, knots, etc. Ounces are ounces in Spanish or English.

The type of bread would make all the diff. some is light would take lots, some is heavy, would not take so much. Tomatoes, one cup 8 oz. Guess you can figure it from there.
