Looks generally get my attention initially but personality quickly kicks in. If we don't have compatible personalities and senses of humor, no amount of good looks will help.
So, looks make me look but personality is what really matters.

How important is personality, if your looks cant draw someone in close enough to see it?
On the other side, how important are looks if it can only get you to meet some one?
Id say personality is more important. Looks can only get you so far in a relationship. Personality is the glue that keeps you around and interested.

Is this open to males and females?
I am more interested in a woman's looks and then personality. I like to try and hang around with people that look like me and act like me. Makes for a better friendship if you have things in common.

Looks are definitely the first thing you notice....but a bad personality will negate good looks ten fold. Even though you don't believe it, most guys really are interested in the personality, there is no way I could put up with a girl with no common sense or personality.

Tough question. At first, it's the looks to be honest. She doesn't have to be amazingly gorgeous or anything. There just has to be something there that appeals. But for the long term, personality is so much more important. That's what will determine how she acts in all sorts of ways. In the bedroom or out with friends, her personality is what's going to be what keeps me around.

Well...there has to be some sort of physical attraction for me to be interested in a woman. After that personality helps.

I think that a woman's looks is what initially attracts a man...I mean, you can't see personality from across the room. haha, even though I totally dispise them, I guess that is the beauty of long distance relationships huh? My girlfriend's personality is amazing and now, after knowing her so well, I am more attracted to her personality than anything else (even though she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen).

Personality is always most important! I would much rather be with an average looking woman with a great personality than I would a #10 who is a total biotch!

As a man, I'm going to be shallow and answer... looks... at first. But eventually, personality will win out because no man that is intelligent would be stuck with someone with a nice face but a horrible personality.

Initially, since we guys are all visual it's about looks. But I've been on a lot of dates with some real lookers that were just not that bright and it gets boring. I look for a mix myself. Personality and Intelligence are key for long term relationships.
