A paste of salt and water is way too harsh for a healing piercing. A solution of NON IDOIZED sea alst in 8 ounces of warm water is quite sufficient to use to aid the healing of a piercing.

DO NOT use alcohol or peroxide to heal a piercing. It says right on the bottle that these are TOPICAL antiseptics. Peroxide and alcohol are harsh astringents which means they are drying agents. Alochol and peroxide can damage healing cells, further impeding the healing process.

DO NOT remove the jewelry, as taking the jewelry in and out will irritate it, and also further impede the healing process.

Yes, it will help. So will dabbing it with rubbing alcohol. Also, wipe the earing with alcohol before inserting it each time, and take them out at night.

eh? hydrogen peroxide would be much better or rubbing alcohol and both are about $1.00 .... salt water better for mouth infections..

use peroxide only...
